Our Story

This is me...

Emma the flower girl

Lets roll back 23 years, to where my floristry career began. In my final year of high school, trying to work out where life would take me, I did work experience at a little florist shop in Havelock North. I loved it and obviously it showed as this led into a full time position once I had finished school.

My amazing boss Linda shared and taught me all about floristry and even the business side too. When she sold her business I stayed on, but not long after my 20yr old self, with nothing holding her back decided to set off on a venture of her own.

Florist Gump was created, located in Dickens Street in Napier. Some of you may remember it. It bloomed and blossomed under my care for 7 and a half years, life changed, and it was time for me to move on.

After selling Florist Gump, the years that followed saw me working part time for various Hawke's Bay florists.

Today, life sure is different, I have a husband by my side and two beautiful children. As I again try to find where my next years in life will take me, now that my 1yr old (the Bee) is at daycare, and my 10yr old (the Blossom) is at school, I crave another little business venture.

Of course, with my years of experience and talent in floristry what better than to do just that.

This time however I need to start a little slower, and work around my gorgeous family, but I'm eager to continue sharing my love of flowers with Hawke's Bay.
